Description

This course is for the sailor who has completed a Beginners/Explorers course or has had some previous sailing experience. The sailors will build on their knowledge of:

• Boat parts

• Advanced points of sail

• Reading the wind

• and introduction to advanced buoy sailing

At the successful completion of this course the sailor will be able to rig a boat and sail an Opti independently and with confidence. Instructors build on sailors' prior knowledge with each session.  No instructor on the boat. 

Age & Experience

Age 6+

Beginner / Intermediate

Completion of Explorers class

5 minute swim test required

No instructor on the boat

$120 for 1 week session consisting of 4 classes

Dates

Opti Beginner classes run Monday through Thursday from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM during the following weeks:

Week 1: June 8 - 11

Week 2: June 15 - 18

Week 3: June 22 - 25

Week 4: June 29-July 2

Week 5: July 6 - 9

Week 7: July 20 - 23

Week 9: July 27 - 31
